The company has also made the definition between three of its popular model families much clearer. These definitions will be applicable on the future 40-series which will be known as ‘fun-to-drive’ while 60-series will be the ‘dynamic’ and the 90-series will be ‘sophisticated’. These three model families will have saloon, hatch and SUV models where the new definition for saloon is ‘elegant’, the V models (also known as versatile) is ‘elegant and functional’ and three of XC models will be defined as ‘refined strength’.

Volvo says that as much as a maximum of 5.07m length can be gained by using SPA platform which makes it possible to build a full-size limousine on. Geely is the Chinese owner of Volvo has shown keen interest to have stretch limos for their local market.

Volvo’s been keeping a Scandinavian design for more than a decade which was intended to keep Volvo distinct from German makers, but now things have changed and so does the philosophy of Volvo, they are now working enthusiastically on design language refinements of the new age.

The old chunky looks of Volvos have been dropped and new Volvos come with very swift and smooth refined looks which can be visible in the inside of the car as well. The traditional stout switchgears that were the speciality of Volvos have been brilliantly replaced by the hi-tech ultra-modern touch-screen controls. All of these steps taken in the right direction are making Volvos next dream car.
